What is semi-permanent makeup?Semi-Permanent Makeup is amazing. Also known as Micropigmentation is a mild form of cosmetic tattooing and is carried out by using a machine or a hand tool which inserts tiny pigments of ink into the top layers of the skin. These pigments can bring back your eyebrows with hair strokes, enhance the lash line with dark dots and can even bring back lip colour where the natural lip line and colour has faded over years.
-
What are the benefits?Permanent Makeup will not only give you beautiful long lasting makeup, but can make a life changing difference to those who have sparse eyebrows or no hair, have difficulty applying makeup themselves, reduce time on daily makeup routines and give you 100% smudge proof and water proof makeup we all need in our everyday busy lives.
-
How long will it last?Semi Permanent Makeup is long lasting and will remain in the skin for years depending on skin type, lifestyle and care. I will recommend booking an Annual Top Up appointment (for existing clients only) to keep your shape and colour looking fresh. You can book your Annual Top Up Appointment via my website or contact me to check my diary availability.

Can anyone have semi-permanent makeup?I treat clients from the ages of 19 to 99 and it makes a life changing difference. Whilst semi-permanent makeup is fantastic for most people, some individuals are not suitable, which could include either a pre existing medical or skin condition/type. Some skin types or some areas of the skin which include oily or dry skin or an underlying skin condition may not take the ink pigments or could react and migrate, which is beyond my control. Also, failure to follow the aftercare may also result in poor results. You must be aged 18 and over to have permanent makeup and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Please CLICK HERE For a list of those I am unable to treat or kindly contact me with any concerns you may have. * Please note that refunds cannot be issued for undesired results achieved which is completely out of my control.
-
Is semi-permanent makeup safe?Yes, it is a very safe procedure as I work in a very hygienic, safe and sterile environment and everything that comes into contact with the client is sterile and then disposed of correctly. I only use the highest quality of ink pigments which are hypo-allergenic, meet all of the FDA & EU Regulations for safety and are also vegan and cruelty free. We will also perform a patch test to rule out any allergic reaction to our products being used. Full pre treatment and aftercare instructions are explained and given to every client and must be adhered to.
-
Is it painful?Like with any tattoo procedure there will be some level of discomfort, however this will vary for person to person. You will be numbed before and during the procedure to minimise the pain and help you feel at ease.
-
What is the healing process and how long will it take to heal?Aftercare is incredibly important to prevent any infection and poor results. I try to make aftercare as easy as possible with an easy to follow aftercare card and make your healing journey as straight forward as possible. Your treatment area may be very sensitive, pink or swollen for the following few days and can take a week to heal properly with some scabbing. You will then go through the stages of healing and return for a top up if required. Here is my video 'Why aftercare is so important'
-
Can I wear makeup to my treatment and after too?You can wear your makeup as normal to your treatment, however the treatment area will be cleaned and worked on, therefore makeup will be wiped off during the treatment. You must avoid makeup and products on the treatment area itself for at least 5 days, as out makeup contains many micro germs which could cause an infection. However you can continue to apply your cleanser, creams and makeup that you normally wear, just avoid the treatment area itself.
-
How old do I have to be to have a treatment? You must be aged 18 years and over to be eligible for a treatment. I specialise in 100% natural looking treatments and have treated clients from the age of 22 to 98 years old!
-
Can I choose my own shape and colour? You will be involved in the whole process and I will work with you to find the most achievable natural shape and colour to match your hair colour and skin tone. *Please note that I do not of wing or tick eyeliners due to the higher risk of migration.
-
How do I take care of my new treatment? It is really important to take good care of your new treatment as direct sunlight, sun beds, chemical and facial peels can reduce the life span of your treatment as they can break down the skin cells where the ink pigments are sitting.
-
How long will the treatment take? Please allow up to 2 hours for your treatment and 1.5 hours for your 6 week top up appointment.
-
What does the treatment price include?Your treatment price includes a consultation, pre treatment care, your bespoke treatment and an aftercare gift pack. The price of the treatment is due in full on the day of your first treatment. If any further treatments or touch ups are required after your 6 week top up appointment, you will be charged accordingly to cover my costs.
-
Do you offer a free consultation?Yes of course, I offer a FREE 15 minute consultation where we can discuss the treatment that you are considering. I will also discuss the benefits of permanent makeup, colour options, medical history, healing, aftercare and any questions or worries that you may have. If you are happy to book a treatment then we will carry out a simple patch test to ensure no allergic reactions occur. I also offer a free video consultation and I can send you a patch test by post. *Please note that there will be a £10 charge if you fail to give 72 hours notice of cancellation.
-
How many treatments will I need? For most clients, one treatment plus a 6 week top up is enough to last up to 12, however some few clients with certain skin types, underlying skin conditions or poor aftercare can result in additional treatments being required or the ink not taking at all. Some skin types such as oily, dry, scarred or overly thick or chapped skin can prevent ink implantation and areas of pigmentation may require more than two treatments or not take at all. * Please note that touch ups will be charged accordingly and the refunds cannot be issued for undesired results achieved which is completely out of my control.
-
