the first day

Your treatment area will be very sensitive and will appear darker and swollen for the next couple of days.

For the next 5 days you will need to keep your treatment area clean and as dry as possible.  You must avoid touching your treatment area, refrain from using any soap, creams or makeup and avoid swimming, saunas or steam rooms.

healing process

The stages of healing are all part of the process. As your treatment area begins to heal in week 1, it will be dry, flaky and itchy and the colour will fade.  This is completely normal as the ink pigments are settling down into your skin layers. The colour will then start to reappear on the surface by week 2 and when you return for your 6 week Top Up appointment, any missing colour can be filled back in.

special attention

By looking after your treatment area, you will prolong it's life and avoid the possibility of infection. I will provide you with a special aftercare cream which you can apply every day to avoid any itching and help it heal well.

I will be there to support you on your healing journey and answer any questions or concerns that you may have along the way.
