the first day

Your treatment area will be very sensitive, your skin may appear pink and the treatment will appear darker and swollen for the next couple of days.

For the next 5 days you will need to keep your treatment area clean as dry as possible gently cleaning with your cotton buds.

You must avoid touching your treatment area, rubbing with towels, refrain from using any soap, creams or makeup on the treatment area and avoid swimming, saunas or steam rooms.

healing process

The stages of healing are all part of the process and every client heals completely differently.

As your treatment area begins to heal in week 1, it will be dry, flaky and itchy and the colour will fade.

This is completely normal as the ink pigments are settling down into your skin layers. The colour will then start to reappear on the surface by week 2 and when you return for your 6 week Top Up appointment, any missing colour can be filled back in.

special attention

By looking after your treatment area, you will prolong its life and avoid the possibility of infection, loss of colour and the risks attached. I will provide you with a special aftercare cream (for eyebrows and lip treatments only) which you can apply every day to avoid any itching and help it heal well.

I will be there to support you on your healing journey and answer any questions or concerns that you may have along the way.
